Streamline Energy works on BC energy project

March 22, 2021 | By Maryam Farag

EcoGrid Technologies Inc. and Streamline Electrical’s 2018 partnership on Streamline Energy Inc. has removed over 4.5 megawatts of peak power and 2.8 million kilowatt hour of consumption off the mainland BCHydro grid.

With lower power rates in British Columbia, the lack of financial incentive to switch to clean energy has resulted in a slower adoption in smart LED energy within the province’s industries.

“We are both thrilled about this partnership that will surely change the game in the energy sector on the west coast,” said Dave Sera, Founder and CEO, Streamline Energy. “Our commitment to deliver cash positive results and smart LED upgrades is low-hanging fruit for any business looking to lower operational costs in these challenging times.”

With BCHydro’s power smart program, customers can receive up to 75 per cent return on investment. The advanced controls in the smart LEDs’ will bring unparalleled savings, resulting in a higher incentive payout, since it is a performance-based program.

“Dave is an off-grid power genius, and I am a self-proclaimed wireless controls genius, so it’s truly a match made in heaven,” said George Filtsos, President, EcoGrid Technologies Inc. “Competitors are racing to the bottom by cutting corners with their lack of wireless solution offerings, when in reality, there is no better alternative to using loT technology. The technology not only pays for itself in the long-term, but also future proofs investments for tomorrow.”
